Camps

On the exterior, the American Cancer Society's Camp Rainbow Gold camps appear to be just like any other summer camps — fishing, hiking, camp fires, crafts, laughter and the chance to make lasting friendships. And maybe that's exactly what they are — places to let go of worries, to relax and to spend time with people just like you.

For Children with Cancer

Camp Rainbow Gold Oncology Camp is a haven for children ages six through 17 who have been diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Camp Rainbow Gold allows children the opportunity to experience the joys of summer camp in a safe and beautiful environment.

For Families of Children with Cancer

Camp Rainbow Gold Sibling Camp and Camp Rainbow Gold Family Camp offer similar experiences for sisters, brothers, moms and dads.

All three camps are FREE to all campers and take place over the summer in the Sawtooth National Forest near Ketchum, Idaho.

One thing all the camps — Sibling, Family and the original Camp Rainbow Gold — do is provide an opportunity for those who feel so very alone to connect with others who understand what they thought no one else could. At the same time, they are doing that very thing for someone else.

Most campers return year after year, building on old friendships, adding new ones and eagerly welcoming first-time campers into the Camp Rainbow Gold family.
