Events

While the events change from season to season and year to year, the intent remains the same: Each program is crafted to unite people for support, encouragement and the poignant reminder that we're in this together. Camp Rainbow Gold Ski Day

Camp Rainbow Gold Ski Day with Bogus Basin Recreation

The powder flies, the sun shines and the smiles abound at Camp Rainbow Gold Ski Day. Long after the summer camps come to a close, 75 children head to Bogus Basin Ski Resort for a day of skiing. Children with disabilities or limitations are encouraged to attend. Special equipment and private instructors are provided to make it possible for every child diagnosed with cancer to ski. Open to all Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their siblings ages 6-17.

There will be swimming, rock wall climbing and many other fun activities available to participate in. Open to all Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their families ages 6-17.

An Evening with the Idaho Steelheads

An Evening with the Idaho Steelheads

Join Idaho's professional AA minor-league hockey team, the Idaho Steelheads, as campers and their families enjoy a night dedicated to the Camp Rainbow Gold program. One camper sings the game-opening National Anthem, while others ride the Zamboni and receive special recognition between periods. Stay after the game to meet and get autographs from the Steelheads. Open to all Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their families.

Survivors Supporting Survivors

Survivors Supporting Survivors

Being a teen is tough. Being a teen diagnosed with cancer is even tougher. Each month, an informal get together lets teens ages 13-18 talk about issues, have some fun, discuss the challenges and receive support from those who understand better than anyone. A licensed social worker facilitates the discussions.
