Ways To Help

The success of Camp Rainbow Gold relies on people just like you. Here are ways you can help Camp Rainbow Gold continue its legacy of growth and its commitment to provide a variety of positive programs for children diagnosed with cancer and their families.

Volunteer

Put your skill to work, and feel the reward. Camp Rainbow Gold's year-round events are only possible with the help of a strong volunteer network. Help with mailings. Be a camp counselor. Be a ski buddy. Oversee crafts. Design and distribute flyers. Plan parties. Write. Every hour you volunteer matters.

Donate

Make a financial contribution to help Camp Rainbow Gold provide year-round services and support. All donations are tax deductible and are applied directly to Camp Rainbow Gold Program expenses.

Fundraise

Serve on one of our volunteer fundraising committees, work at a fundraising event or plan an event of your own.

Dr Dave McClusky Josh got off the bus a couple of years ago and announced to me that this was going to be the best summer yet. I was puzzled by his insistence, and when I inquired, Josh said, 'I know I am going to die soon, so this is going to be the best summer ever.' The week was amazing. I shared many special moments with Josh, including being his date to the dance. After all, he said, 'You're an old man, and I don't think it is likely that you are going to get a date to this dance.'

After the week was over, Josh prepared to get on the bus to go home. I gave him a hug and told him I wanted something to remember him by. Josh turned and looked me in the eye and said, 'What about our friendship?'

It's this comment I carry with me in my heart each time I ask for donations or support. I still have the placemat Josh made that summer. It had a big rainbow with blue birds all around it. I'm so deeply impressed with the young man coming to camp knowing he was going to die soon but yet chose rainbows and blue birds on his placemat. Josh passed later that year.
