Volunteer

Put your skill to work, and feel the reward. Camp Rainbow Gold's year-round events are only possible with the help of a strong volunteer network. Help with mailings. Be a camp counselor. Be a ski buddy. Oversee crafts. Design and distribute flyers. Plan parties. Write letters.

Every hour you volunteer matters.

The success of all Camp Rainbow Gold programs hinges on the quality of volunteers who dedicate their time and energy.

What you do:

Junior Counselor Program

The Camp Rainbow Gold Junior Counselor Program is oftentimes a natural transition for campers who have turned 18 and still want to be a part of the Camp Rainbow Gold family.

Junior counselors mentor the campers, passing on their knowledge and strength they have gained from their own personal and Camp Rainbow Gold experiences. Camp Rainbow Gold works to provide training in development and leadership skills that can be applied for camp counselor positions (at the minimum required age of 21) and in life as they begin their journeys as young adults.

While the bulk of junior counselors are former campers, new junior counselor volunteers that have had a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime will be considered when space allows.

Junior counselors are a special group of teens who have inspired several new programs, including the College Scholarship Fund and Survivors Supporting Survivors, an ongoing group inspired by those who have been diagnosed with cancer in their teenage years. View the calendar to see when and where this group meets next.

To apply for the Junior Counselor Program, download and submit a new camp volunteer or returning camp volunteer application from above.

Give a little time to Camp Rainbow Gold, and chances are, you'll receive a sense of purpose that is beyond compare.

What do you like to do? Volunteer needs run the gamut. Fish, manage art programs, take pictures. Help with mailings. Staff a fundraising event.
